Magic Blue Property is focussed on Green and Sustainable building techniques, materials, projects and creating harmonious dwellings for our customers to live and work in. Sustainable development is a pattern of resource use that aims to meet human needs while preserving the environment so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but also for future generations. The term was used first by the USA Brundtland Commission which coined what has become the most often-quoted definition of sustainable development as development that: "meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."
Sustainable development ties together concern for the carrying capacity of natural systems with the social challenges facing humanity. As early as the 1970s "sustainability" was employed to describe an economy "in equilibrium with basic ecological support systems." Ecologists have pointed to The Limits to Growth, and presented the alternative of a "steady state economy" in order to address environmental concerns. Now is the time to change and we are seeing amazing examples of green living and developments appear in all places around the world. Green energy, coupled with green design, integrating green building techniques are all leading to better and much more sustainable living developments and safer homes for us to enjoy.
Some great examples of the changes that we are all seeing in our lifetimes are these 5MW wind turbines on this wind farm 28 km off the coast of Belgium. In less than 20 years from now these will be common place in many oceans and sites around the planet. We now have the capacity to harness nature and live as one with the planet. Technology is now ready to match the needs of the planet. The planets population desire to be green. We all live on one small planet and we need to take care of this for all our future generations.
In a more complex and environmentally and climate change challenged world, we all need to make changes to the way that we impact the environment and more importantly the immediate environment that we inhabit. At Magic Blue Property we endeavour at all times to build eco friendly structures that provide for sustainable green living that does not impact on the local environment where ever our sites are. We focus on the integration of the building site to become one with the landscape and provide the inhabitants with a feeling of belonging and peace as they settle and live in one of our completed projects.
