KATIE MICHAELSON wins the “BEST NEW LAUNCHED
ARTIST” on the international STAR RADIO Music
Awards...for the second year in a row!! |
Aussie
singer/songwriter Katie Michaelson has just been
announced as the winner of the “Best New Launched Artist"
category of the 2005 Star Radio Music Awards.

Star Radio
nominated as one of the best Top 40 & Pop internet radio stations
on the net (as rated by the Live365 Group for the last 2 years
running) has just held it’s 2005 Star Radio Music Awards.
There
are 12 international category's ranging from the Best Pop Act,
Best Female Artists, Best Male Artist (including acts like
Shakira, Madonna, Rob Thomas,
BWO, Robbie Williams,
Gwen Stafani, Kelly Clarkson etc) and a
great award recognising the hottest emerging new artist
for the year titled “Best New Launched Artist”.
Votes for these awards are
registered by listeners from all around the globe over a two month
period from December 2005 till the end of January 2006. This year
Australian artist “Katie Michaelson” has won this category for the
second consecutive year in a row.

It’s a great honor for Katie to
win this award for the second time...this years competition was
extremely tough with some other great new talents all vying for
the award...Britney Christian (USA),
Jennifer McCray (UK) Karl Wolf (CANADA)
and another great new Aussie artist Craig Heath
(managed by Glenn Wheatley).
Katie was also announced as the
winner of the "BEST POP ARTIST" at the 2004 Musicoz Awards. She is
the official face of Innoxa cosmetic’s brand “Young Solution” and
is also sponsored by PPS Hairwear and Maton Guitars.
To show her versatility as a
writer Katie has also just recently written some fantastic pop
songs that are currently being recorded by various artists in the
USA, UK, Australia, Germany & Holland to be released shortly.
Katie hopes to write hit songs for many international artist in

For her next song Katie is currently working with two well known
USA based producers Dan Burns & Billy Mohler. They have just
completed work on her new single titled "Simple and True" and the
guys love it!! It has commercial radio appeal all over it and is a
great fresh new sound for Katie. This will be hitting Star Radio’s
airwaves shortly...so keep a look out for this hot Aussie talent
on the international music scene in 2006.
