ABOUT THE EP - "This feeling" CAT NO: BPP 0051

The EP "This feeling" is a culmination of the past and new directions for the future. Jacquie has finally fulfilled her lifelong dream of writing and recording original material. After being trained, at a young age, in choir, stage musicals and vocal technique, Jacquie has spent many years performing in cover and original bands. Working closely along side her husband Tim, she now brings to the world songs that display her vocal range, dynamics and style.
After many years of experience in the music and entertainment industry, Jacquie admits that going into the studio again has ignited her passion for recording. She has really enjoyed the challenge of finding her true vocal style within her original music.
Jacquie may seem to have delayed her move into the recording studio, but due to her busy lifestyle with four children, performing, and a variety of other business ventures, she feels that she is totally in her element writing, recording and performing her own music.
Jacquie's true love is singing and performing, and she is determined to continue to record and grow as a performer of original material. Jacquie is indebted to her friends and family who have provided so much support and love throughout her musical journey. Her most ardent desire is to have the opportunity to widen her listening audience.
About the songs:
Many hours were spent writing, recording rough demos, finding those perfect words, in between being a primma donna and yelling to the kids to stop fighting, brush your teeth, pick up your mess, story before bed time......... the normal daily routines of running a house and having children at the right activity at the right time. Wouldn't change it for the world, well maybe just a few hours here and there, to be totally selfish and absorb ourselves in music, and performing, being a recording diva, and apart from our regular cover band work........We finally started recording our EP in Studio 301 Byron Bay, what a buzz
This Feeling :
This is a very emotional, hindsight would be very helpful in these situations, written about some friends who adored each other and were such amazing, inspiring people and went through troubles, which many can relate to, and just wanted them to know they weren't alone.Wrote the words first, worked out a chorus melody, then verses, then music, and so on.
What I Am :
This song went through a journey from being written many years ago by Tim on the acoustic guitar, to me throwing in my voice, word variations, dynamics, bluesy, funky tones,...... we found something we both liked in the end, especially the riff and lead guitar. You know you really can't judge a book by its cover.
I Used To Be :
Any one can relate to this no matter what age, those fantastic simple little things in life, that are so important. You really do get what you pay for, but all these special unique experiences & memories you just can't buy. Tims beautifully written words, I love singing this song.
Long Way From Home :
This is a very special song, as my sister, husband & three girls were going to live in L.A a couple of years ago. We as a family were feeling very emotional about this, but wanted to show our support and love to them at their farewell party. Madeline our 9 year old daughter at the time put down some words, and we all wrote this song.
He Fills My Heart :
Another beautifully written acoustic song, of which we slowed right down and found a bluesy, dreamy feel, to make you hopefully travel with us to the end. Ain't love grand.
Only You:
This song started out with the words and melody to the chorus and it just seemed to grow from there, and with twenty minutes of ad libbing, and repetition, we ended up with a very up lifting song, with a calypso feel. Great to liven any mundane moment.
This recording experience has been just amazing, and I hope to continue and bring you some more of my music in the near future.
