Paul Searles (Snorkel) is a Sydney based composer, producer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist. Paul was long-time member of legendary Sydney funk band Skunkhour, touring and recording internationally. He studied Contemporary Music at New England University, with a Trinity College of London Performer’s certificate in classical piano and also studied Architecture at Newcastle University, winning the Bill Hudson Award for residential work. Since then he has composed the music for award winning feature New Skin (Dendy Award Best Film), Sleeper ( Winner, Best Foreign Film in LA’s RAD Film Festival), and Double The Fist, the 2004 ARIA winner for Best Comedy. Snorkel's self titled solo album is due for release early 2006
