Classically trained Astronaut 7 picked up the drums to join a university band. He then sang in a band in the steel works city of Whyalla and later picked up the bass to play in a cover band with his brother in Adelaide. He plays on the majority of the instruments on the CD and has called on friends from the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra to perform the string sections.
