The club many years ago supported the proposal put forth by Reg Renouf, the baseball club founder, to start baseball as a sub-club activity, the rest is now part of the NSW baseball community history.

About Hawks Baseball
The Hawks baseball Club is the Premier Major League baseball club covering the Ryde Hornsby geographic area. This area covers 4 distinct regions

• Hornsby / North West up to Berowra.
• Ryde area incorporating Epping, Marsfield, Ryde, Gladesville & Hunters Hill.
• Southern District incorporating Five Dock, Petersham, Marrickville , Concord & Balmain.
• North Shore incorporating Kurringai , Artarmon Chatswood & North Sydney Mosman The junior association of Ryde Hornsby has approximately 1,800 registered players and is the largest Junior organisation in the Country.

The Clubs and their affiliate sporting bodies have access to a total population exceeding 5,000 players.

The Hawks Major League Club is the premier Major League Club in the Country , with over 30% of the players either current or past State representatives. In addition we have 3 current Internationally contracted players ( Richard Thompson & Andrew Graham both competed in the Australian side which played in the World Baseball Classic tournament this year) , and another 2 recently signed players from our Junior representative squads.

Throughout its History the Club has been instrumental in developing and promoting baseball within its region and wishes to move baseball into the 21st century to increase its market share and raise the profile of the sport both domestically and internationally.

Several Hawks players are now playing professionally in the USA, Japan and Europe. It is our goal to introduce the Club to International baseball fans.

The home ground at ELS Hall is geographically located in the heart of the region and is one of the best Baseball grounds for spectators and players, providing close action and quality facilities.

The main competition commences in September and runs to the end of March. Development & Senior competitions also run in Winter.

• Be advertised on a one-day free clinic available to any Junior player registered with the Ryde Hornsby baseball League. The clinic would be serviced by a full coaching staff supplied by the Hawks Major League club.
