ICELAND FASHION WEEK - COLLECTIONS 2005 (Original Soundtrack)

Each year since 2000, a changing group of about 30 international fashion
designers present their latest collections in an exceptional fashion show at
the ICELAND FASHION WEEK, in Iceland, which is designed for international
media coverage.

On August 21, 2004, now in its fifth year, the fashion show
will take place at the Reykjavik energy house, with a view overlooking
Reykjavik city. Designers from the following 14 countries will present their
collections of Spring / Summer 2005: The United Kingdom, Spain, Canada,
Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Israel, Greenland, the Faroe Islands, Latvia, Romania, and Iceland.

Daring and innovative, previous shows (taking place in exotic open-air locations such as the top of a glacier or in a volcanic sand desert) have attracted major fashion magazines, TV media and VIPs from around the world. The Iceland Fashion Week (previously Midnight Sun Fashion Show) was founded in 2000 by the owner of the model agency Icelandic Models, Mrs. Kolbrun Adalsteinsdottir, with support from the Icelandic government and local sponsors.

In 2004, for the first time, a commercial fashion show music soundtrack will extend the fashion event Os image into the world of music: the deep energy of an epic volcanic island pulsating under a 24-hour mid-summer sunshine, merged with fashion lifestyle and club music, with styles from chill-out to electro-pop. Individual tracks of this music mix will be just as international, coming from Australia, the UK, Spain, Sweden, France, Portugal, Canada, Belgium, and Germany.

DJ Center Records, Paris, will distribute the compilation to online music stores worldwide, starting in September 2004. The soundtrack is compiled and produced by René Friedrich, who from 1996 to 2000 had researched in Paris a project to broadcast major fashion shows on the Internet. A CD release by an international label may follow in December 2004.
